• Here we are placing, in chronological order, all recorded teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, including as many events as possible from his life. This time-line will provide a complete unparalleled online repository.
• We invite devotees to assist in building this historic document that will surely help to successfully glorify all of Śrīla Prabhupāda's global preaching and achievements during the 12 years of 50th anniversary celebrations (2015 - 2027).
• This timeline is being used to compile pages for the A Day in the Life of Śrīla Prabhupāda project.

1896 - Birth & childhood to youth

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda

• 1896 September 01 - Calcutta - born on a Tuesday at about 4:00 in the afternoon (rasi is Metthuna) as Abhay Charan De to Gaura Mohan De and Rajani Devi
• 1902 At age six was performing Ratha yatra in the neighborhood
• 1910 Śrīla Prabhupāda's mother Rajani Devi dies
• 1911 Experiences danger - riots in Calcutta
• 1918 Enters married life with Radharani Datta (grhastha ashrama)
• 1920 Scottish Churches College run by the Scottish Church missionaries - Passed his final examination (B.A), but rejected diploma and gave up college education

1922 - meets spiritual master Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja

• 1922 Joins Gandhi's non-cooperation movement
• 1922 Induced by his intimate friend, Śrī Narendranath Mullik, Abhay Charan De meets for the first time Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Mahārāja - his future initiating spiritual master - and is asked to "preach this Caitanya's cult in the Western countries"
• 1925 Visits Vṛndāvana-dhāma for the first time and hears more from Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja
• 1928 Allahabad - Kumbhamelā is held. Around this time the Gauḍīya Maṭha opens a branch in Allahabad and members visit Abhaya Babu in his pharmacy shop
• 1930 Śrīla Prabhupāda's father Gour Mohan De dies

1933 - Initiation under spiritual master Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja

• 1933 Allahabad - Accepts formal dīkṣā initiation from Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja
• 1935 Visits Rādhā-kunda to see Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja and receives instructions on constructing temples and publishing books
• 1936 Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja passes from this world leaving a message for Śrīla Prabhupāda to preach in English language

1944 - first 'Back to Godhead' (spiritual magazine) & Sannyasa in 1951

• 1944 February 14 - Publishes the first 'Back to Godhead' magazine on Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura's appearance day.
• 1947 Receives the honorary title of 'Bhaktivedanta' from his God-brothers of the Gaudiya Math
• 1950 September 10 - Wrote and published:Solution of Present Crisis by Bhagwat Geeta
• 1951 Accepts vanaprastha (retirement from family life)
• 1952 June 08 - Wrote an: Essay on His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Maharaja
• 1953 Jhansi - Initiates first disciple - Acarya Prabhakar
• 1953 March 30 - Wrote the essay: Divinity of Lord Caitanya
• 1953 May 16 - Incorporates the League of devotees in Jhansi

1956 - Moves to Vṛndāvana & translates Śrīmad Bhāgavatam

• 1956 Moves to Vṛndāvana
• 1958 Writes Vrndavana Bhajana
• 1958 December - Writes Viraha Astaka (Eight Prayers in Separation From My Spiritual Master)
• 1959 Begins translating Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
• 1959 September 17 - Awarded Sannyasa in Mathura by one of his Godbrothers, His Holiness B.P. Kesava Maharaja
• 1960 Publishes first book - 'Easy Journey to Other Planets'
• 1962 September - Publishes Volume 1, Canto 1 of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
• 1964 Publishes Volume 2, Canto 1 of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam

1965 - at age 69 travels to USA following the instructions of his spiritual master

• 1965 Publishes Volume 3, Canto 1 of Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
• 1965 February 20 - Finishes the third volume 1st canto Srimad Bhagwatam.
• 1965 August 13 13:30 - Calcutta, voyage to the USA aboard the Jaladuta ship
• 1965 August 20 - Delivers an hour long lecture to the crew for Janmāṣṭamī, the appearance day of Śrī Kṛṣṇa
• 1965 August 22 10:00 - Jaladuta docks at Cochin and at 16:00 loads five cases containing 200 sets of the 3-volume Srimad-Bhagwatams which arrived from Bombay
• 1965 August 25 to 30 - On route to the USA, suffers two heart attacks during the journey west
• 1965 September 17 Historic arrival in America. On the 36th day after leaving Calcutta at 05:30 the ship Jaladuta docks at Commonwealth Pier, Boston
• 1965 September 19 12:30 - On the 38th day since leaving Calcutta the Jaladuta docks at New York
• 1965 - :Staying at: Butler, Pennsylvania - with Gopala and Sally Aggarwal for three weeks
• 1965 November 28, 3:30 P.M. - Gives a lecture on "GOD CONSCIOUSNESS" at New India House, 3, East 64th Street

1966 - establishes ISKCON to awaken the sleeping souls

• 1966 Februaray 20 - Earliest Recording of Śrīla Prabhupāda available
