As of today we have created 5,513 categories, 12,776 pages (8,302 are completed and 4,472 are in process) and there are now 77,453 quotes drawn from the following places.
- 4,754 quotes from Bhagavad-gītā As It Is
- 21,173 quotes from Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
- 6,622 quotes from Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta
- 4,187 quotes from other books by Śrīla Prabhupāda
- 20,094 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's lectures
- 9,051 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's conversations
- 11,572 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's correspondence
Once completed we estimate that Vaniquotes will have around 6,000 categories, 108,000 pages, and somewhere between 1 to 2 million quotes.
- Our first goal is to create - 108,000 quotes (72% done) and 10,800 completed pages (77% done)
- To achieve this by the end of 2009, we will have to compile an average of 456 quotes a day and complete an average of 37 pages a day. This will be a challenge but possible as more devotees take up the compiling process.
