You want to be a teacher.” She pushed me in that room with Prabhupada. I went in and Prabhupada was Srila Prabhupada  speaking to the teachers. He said, “Don’t hit the children with sticks. Just show them the stick.” It was a very, very strong instruction. Another thing he said was, “The most important thing is to love them.” To love them is the highest qualification you need to teach children. I wish that we had learned a little more of that in the early days.

Prabhupada Memories

Interview 01

Krishnanandini: One memory I have of Prabhupada was in Dallas, Texas. I always wanted to be a teacher, but at that time I wasn’t doing too much. On this day Prabhupada was giving his instructions to the teachers because there was a gurukula in Dallas. My mother told me, “Go in there. Go in there, Krishnanandini.
