As of today we have created 5,299 categories, 11,868 pages (7,854 are completed and 4,014 are in process) and there are now 72,602 quotes drawn from the following places.
- 4,590 quotes from Bhagavad-gītā As It Is
- 20,257 quotes from Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
- 6,193 quotes from Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta
- 3,902 quotes from other books by Śrīla Prabhupāda
- 18,386 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's lectures
- 8,214 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's conversations
- 11,060 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's correspondence
Once completed we estimate that Vaniquotes will have around 5,500 categories, 108,000 pages, and somewhere between 1 to 2 million quotes.
- Our first goal is to create - 200,000 quotes (36% done) and 20,000 completed pages (39% done)
- To achieve this by the end of 2009, we will have to compile an average of 991 quotes a day and complete an average of 95 pages a day. This will be a challenge but possible if many devotees take up the compiling process.
