śrī-caitanya-prabhuṁ vande

bālo ’pi yad-anugrahāt

taren nānā-mata-grāha-

vyāptaṁ siddhānta-sāgaram

PALABRA POR PALABRA

śrī-caitanya-prabhum — al Señor Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu; vande — ofrezco reverencias; bālaḥ — un niño ignorante; api — incluso; yat — del cual; anugrahāt — por la misericordia; taret — puede cruzar; nānā — diversas; mata — de teorías; grāha — los cocodrilos; vyāptam — lleno de; siddhānta — de conclusiones; sāgaram — el océano.

TRADUCCIÓN

Ofrezco reverencias a Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, por cuya misericordia hasta un niño ignorante puede cruzar el océano de la verdad concluyente, que está habitado por los cocodrilos de diversas teorías.

SIGNIFICADO

Lord Caitanya is the Absolute Truth, Kṛṣṇa Himself. This is substantiated by evidence from the authentic spiritual scriptures. Sometimes people accept a man as God on the basis of their whimsical sentiments and without reference to the revealed scriptures, but the author of Caitanya-caritāmṛta proves all his statements by citing the śāstras. Thus he establishes that Caitanya Mahāprabhu is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
