Con respecto a hacer una película para ayudar a la gente a ser consciente de Krishna. Si mostramos tales actividades devocionales como adorar a la Deidad, los karmis pensarán que es algo sentimental, gente adorando una estatua. A menos que escuchen a los devotos y luego realicen el servicio devocional ellos mismos, ¿qué beneficio habrá? En cuanto a tu punto de que aquellos que dicen películas sobre Hitler se identificaron con él y lo siguieron, Hitler aún estaba acabado a pesar de tanta propaganda. Napoleón, Mussolini, Churchill - todos ellos hicieron tanta propaganda - pero los imperios francés, italiano, británico y alemán están todos perdidos ahora. Nuestra verdadera propaganda es cantar el Maha-mantra Hare Krishna, y dejar que la masa de gente cante y baile con nosotros. Si esta película induce a la gente a cantar y bailar está bien. Si ayuda a nuestra causa entonces es bienvenida. Lo mejor es que le des este tema a tu GBC para discutirlo en la reunión del GBC de este año en Marzo.

Regarding making a movie to help people become Krishna Conscious. If we show such devotional activities as worshipping the Deity, the karmis will think it is some sentiment, people worshiping a statue. Unless they hear from devotees and then practically perform devotional service themselves, what benefit will there be? As far as your point that those who say movies about Hitler identified with him and followed him, Hitler was still finished despite so much propaganda. Napoleon, Mussolini, Churchill - they all made so much propaganda - but the French, Italian, British, and German empires are all lost now. Our real propaganda is to chant the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra, and let the mass of people chant and dance with us. If this movie induces people to chant and dance it is O.K. If it aids our cause then it is welcome. The best thing is for you to give this subject matter to your GBC for discussion at this year's GBC meeting in March.
