As of today we have created 5,548 categories, 12,932 pages (8,543 are completed and 4,389 are in process) and there are now 83,652 quotes drawn from the following places.
- 4,973 quotes from Bhagavad-gītā As It Is
- 22,479 quotes from Śrīmad Bhāgavatam
- 7,160 quotes from Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta
- 4,561 quotes from other books by Śrīla Prabhupāda
- 22,208 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's lectures
- 10,061 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's conversations
- 12,210 quotes from Śrīla Prabhupāda's correspondence
Once completed we estimate that Vaniquotes will have around 6,000 categories, 108,000 pages, and somewhere between 1 to 2 million quotes.
- Our first goal is to create - 108,000 quotes (77% done) and 10,800 completed pages (79% done)
- To achieve this by the end of 2009, we will have to compile an average of 468 quotes a day and complete an average of 43 pages a day. This will be a challenge but possible as more devotees take up the compiling process.
