आयुःसत्त्वबलारोग्यसुखप्रीतिविवर्धनाः ।
रस्याः स्निग्धाः स्थिरा हृद्या आहाराः सात्त्विकप्रियाः ॥८॥


āyuḥ-sattva-balārogya-
sukha-prīti-vivardhanāḥ
rasyāḥ snigdhāḥ sthirā hṛdyā
āhārāḥ sāttvika-priyāḥ


SYNONYME

āyuḥ — Lebensdauer; sattva — Existenz; bala — Stärke; ārogya — Gesundheit; sukha — Glück; prīti — und Zufriedenheit; vivardhanāḥ — vergrößernd; rasyāḥ — saftig; snigdhāḥ — fetthaltig; sthirāḥ — beständig; hṛdyāḥ — das Herz erfreuend; āhārāḥ — Speise; sāttvika — für jemanden in Tugend; priyāḥ — schmackhaft.


ÜBERSETZUNG

Speisen, die von Menschen in der Erscheinungsweise der Tugend geschätzt werden, verlängern die Lebensdauer, reinigen das Dasein und geben Kraft, Gesundheit, Glück und Zufriedenheit. Solche Speisen sind saftig, fetthaltig, bekömmlich und erfreuen das Herz.
