Vanipedia Projects Building a Time-line of Śrīla Prabhupāda's Life We are documenting the major events in Srila Prabhupada's life and also offering a chronological order of all recorded media of Śrīla Prabhupāda's vani. Once completed, this time-line will provide an authoritative documentation of all his existing teachings arranged in order of occurrence. A major task indeed and we invite devotees to assist with it. Vanimedia Projects Uniting Srila Prabhupada's Multi-lingual Family Collaborate with a team of already 110 devotees from 45 languages to create multi-language subtitles for 1080 - 1 to 15 minute audio clips translated into your language by Śrīla Prabhupāda's Vyasa Puja festival in 2015. Find out the details of the project and check out our current results for the first 540+ videos. We are placing these videos on YouTube, in our Vanimedia Channel and they can also be accessed via themes. Prabhupāda Speaks Around the World In Vaniquotes you can now listen while reading Śrīla Prabhupāda's lectures, conversations, interviews and morning walks - feel his presence, feel his mood. To date there are over 2000 pages with clips available and we are aiming for 5000 by the end of 2014. Completing an Audio Fidelity Check of Lecture and Conversation Transcriptions We are inviting volunteers to attentively listen to Śrīla Prabhupāda and, while reading, to check the transcriptions for accuracy. Vanisource Projects Adding Scans of Śrīla Prabhupāda's Letters We are placing the scanned images of the original letters to the Vanisource pages of Śrīla Prabhupāda's transcribed letters. We are inviting volunteers to read, verify and correct the Vanisource transcriptions for fidelity against the original scans. Please contact us if you would like to help. Adding Audio to Lecture and Conversation Transcriptions We are uploading the audio files to the Vanisource pages so that hearing and reading of Śrīla Prabhupāda's lectures & conversations can be done simultaneously. The 1977 audio has been uploaded - with a total of 236.25 hours of audio in 385 audio files As the Bhaktivedanta Archives release the other years this project can be completed. The Archives are projecting a release of all the 1976 audio before the end of 2013, and hopefully we will upload them in Vanisource by Gaura Purnima 2014. New Categories for Vanisource We have begun the process of linking all Vanisource pages to relevant categories to make navigation easier. These new categories will also be used as resources for the timeline of Śrīla Prabhupāda's life. Letters sorted by person We are linking letters to individual categories so you will be able to access all the letters written to each person in one place. All book lectures sorted by verse Lectures will not only be arranged by date and location but will also be grouped by volume and verse. Adding Śrīla Prabhupāda's Original (1962-1965) Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam to Vanisource (processing) Between 1962 and 1965 Śrīla Prabhupāda published the first canto of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in three volumes. The first volume has been added and we expect to have added all three by the end of 2013. Adding Śrīla Prabhupāda's Bhagavad-gita As It Is (1968) Collier Abridged Edition (coming soon) The early Bhagavad-gītā As It Is (1968 edition) will be added to Vanisource sometime in 2014.
