Gohita: Srila Prabhupada was in San Francisco for Ratha-yatra when a devotee who had an infamous prasadam distribution program in Laguna Beach gave Srila Prabhupada $30,000 cash. Srila Prabhupada knew how the person got the money, but he jokingly said, “Oh! So how did you get this money?” The devotee said, “Well Srila Prabhupada, I sell drugs.” Srila Prabhupada said, “Oh! I used to sell drugs too. What pharmacy do you work for?” |
