Import/Export Subtitles from Dotsub - Rom to Mol

Check Romanian language if there is some new video, it's important to know which was the last video we imported so we can know if there is new updates

  • Update the subtitle record in excel (take reference from Update Video Results) in Romanian and Moldovian tabs.
    • 1. Search in Dotsub the number of the video for importing subtitles.
    • 2. In the box CAPTION & TRANSLATE we go to CAPTIONS IN and click in the ROMANIAN100% language for downloading the .srt file, we save it.
    • 3. Rename the downloaded .srt-file, at the end of the name in the .srt-file there is the word RUM we change it for MOL (Moldavian).
    • 4. In Dotsub, CAPTION & TRANSLATE box, we click the TRANSLATE INTO and and select MOLDOVIAN.
    • 5. It will appear the option to import from files.
    • 6. Import the .srt-file.
    • 7. Update the color in the MOLDOVIAN language in excel sheet.

  • Create pages e.g. Danish
  • We can use as reference french language, all the pages have been translated. Select the page you want to translate.

  • 1 Open the page twice, the first page we will use it as a form and the second one for creating the new page.
  • 2 In the second one we will create the new URL, we must change the language abreviation e.g. https://vanipedia.org/wiki/FR/Prabhupada_0825 to DA and then paste the title in the same URL e.g. https://vanipedia.org/wiki/DA/Prabhupada_0825_-_I menneskeligt liv bør man ikke anstrenge sig for andet end at forbinde sig med Krishnas lotusfødder
  • 3 Click in the bar and will appear a message that the page does not exist, we click the CREATE option.
  • 4 In our form page we click EDIT option, copy the text.
  • 5 Paste the text in the page that we are creating.
  • 6 Close the form page to avoid editing the original one.
  • 7 Paste the information in the second page.
  • 8 Search in Dotsub the number reference of the page e.g. 0824.
  • 9 In CAPTION & TRANSLATE box we go to DOWNLOAD and click to unfold the options for download, choose the TEXT FILE then choose the language to open, there is no need to save the text, only we click OPEN and copy the text.
  • 10 Paste the text in the page we are creating, below the original text, without invade the code zone e.g. END TRANSLATED TEXT
  • 11 At the top of the text there is the categories, we must change from FRENCH to the language that we are translating. E.g.

  • 12 Change the title of the video, search for the BEGIN VIDEO LINK and change the title without invading the code zone. e.g.

- Prabhupāda 0825 (it is very important not to move the code zone, this will move the format of all the page)

  • 13 Give the same format as the original page with the same paragraphs and references e.g. (CC Madhya 19.141)
  • 14 Before saving the page we click in Show Preview to find mistakes and correct them.
  • It is important to observe the links in the bottom of the page, if we find a red color that means that there is a mistake in editing the category and we need to correct it.
  • Save page when finish the review.

  • 8 Start changing the Language of the Category list, the audio box and references in the bottom of the text.
