1896 - Birth & childhood to youth
- 1896 September 01 - Calcutta - born on a Tuesday at about 4:00 in the afternoon (rasi is Metthuna) as Abhay Charan De to Gaura Mohan De and Rajani Devi
- 1902 At age six was performing Ratha yatra in the neighborhood
- 1910 Śrīla Prabhupāda's mother Rajani Devi dies
- 1911 Experiences danger - riots in Calcutta
- 1918 Enters married life with Radharani Datta (grhastha ashrama)
- 1920 Scottish Churches College run by the Scottish Church missionaries - Passed his final examination (B.A), but rejected diploma and gave up college education
1922 - Meets spiritual master Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja
- 1922 Joins Gandhi's non-cooperation movement
- 1922 Induced by his intimate friend, Śrī Narendranath Mullik, Abhay Charan De meets for the first time Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Mahārāja - his future initiating spiritual master - and is asked to "preach this Caitanya's cult in the Western countries"
- 1925 Visits Vṛndāvana-dhāma for the first time and hears more from Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja
- 1928 Allahabad - Kumbhamelā is held. Around this time the Gauḍīya Maṭha opens a branch in Allahabad and members visit Abhaya Babu in his pharmacy shop
- 1930 Śrīla Prabhupāda's father Gour Mohan De dies
1933 - Initiation under spiritual master Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja
- 1933 Allahabad - Accepts formal dīkṣā initiation from Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja
- 1935 Visits Rādhā-kunda to see Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja and receives instructions on constructing temples and publishing books
- 1936 Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Mahārāja passes from this world leaving a message for Śrīla Prabhupāda to preach in English language
1944 - First 'Back to Godhead' (spiritual magazine) & Sannyasa in 1951
- 1944 February 14 - Publishes the first 'Back to Godhead' magazine on Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura's appearance day.
- 1947 Receives the honorary title of 'Bhaktivedanta' from his God-brothers of the Gaudiya Math

- 1960 Publishes first book - 'Easy Journey to Other Planets'

1965 - At age 69 travels to USA following the instructions of his spiritual master

- 1965 August 13 13:30 - Calcutta, voyage to the USA aboard the Jaladuta ship
- 1965 August 20 - Delivers an hour long lecture to the crew for Janmāṣṭamī, the appearance day of Śrī Kṛṣṇa
- 1965 August 22 10:00 - Jaladuta docks at Cochin and at 16:00 loads five cases containing 200 sets of the 3-volume Srimad-Bhagwatams which arrived from Bombay
- 1965 August 25 to 30 - On route to the USA, suffers two heart attacks during the journey west
