āyatiṁ niyatiṁ caiva
sute merus tayor adāt
tābhyāṁ tayor abhavatāṁ
mṛkaṇḍaḥ prāṇa eva ca

TRADUCCIÓN

El sabio Meru tuvo dos hijas, Āyati y Niyati, que entregó en caridad a Dhātā y Vidhātā. Āyati y Niyati fueron madres de dos hijos, Mṛkaṇḍa y Prāṇa.
