Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"So this boy, although born in the family of atheist—his father was great atheist—but because he was bestowed benediction by a great devotee, Nārada, he became a great devotee. Now he took the opportunity of spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness where? In his school. In his school. He was five years old boy, and as soon as he would get opportunity he would spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness to his classfellows. That was his business. And so many times the father of Prahlāda Mahārāja called the teachers, 'So, what education you are giving to my child? Why he is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa?' (laughter) 'Why you are spoiling my boy?' (laughter) You see? So don't think that I am spoiling these boys and girls by teaching them Hare Kṛṣṇa. (laughter)."

Lecture SB 02.01.01-4 - New York
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"Advanced Kṛṣṇa conscious person is considered to have a spiritual body. The same example, as I have given several times: just like iron rod. You put into the fire, it becomes warmer, warmer. The more it is connected with fire, it becomes warm, warm, warm. And at last it becomes red hot, so that at that time, if that iron is touched to any other thing, it burns. It does not act as iron; it acts as fire. Similarly, by this Kṛṣṇa consciousness, continuous chanting, you will make your body spiritualized. At that time, wherever you go, wherever you touch, he'll be spiritualized. Similarly, the iron... Without being spiritualized, without being red hot, if you touch, it will not act. So every one of us, those who have come to this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, expected to preach in the future and to become a spiritual master also in the future. But first of all you must spiritualize yourself; otherwise it is useless."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"Today I am American or Indian, tomorrow or next birth, I do not know what is going to happen to me. But this body for good will be finished. I'll never get this body. I'll get another body. Maybe a demigod's body or a tree's body or a plant's body or animal's body—I must get another body. So the living entity is wandering in this way, vāsāṁsi jīrṇāni (BG 2.22). Just like we change our dress from one dress to another, similarly we are changing different positions by the influence of māyā. Māyā is forcing me. Prakṛteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi (CC Madhya 19.151). As soon as I am desiring something, immediately my body is formed. Immediately a particular type of body begins to form, and as soon as I am mature to change, my next body I get according to my desire. Therefore we should always desire Kṛṣṇa."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"There was some trouble in the forest because Kamsa was after Kṛṣṇa to kill Him. He was sending his assistants. So some asura would come, Bakāsura, Aghāsura, and Kṛṣṇa would kill. And the boys would return and narrate the story to their mother. 'Oh, my dear mother! Such and such thing happened and Kṛṣṇa killed it! Very...' (laughter) The mother will, 'Oh, yes, our Kṛṣṇa is very wonderful!' (laughter) So Kṛṣṇa was their enjoyment. That's all. The mother is speaking of Kṛṣṇa, the boy is speaking of Kṛṣṇa. So therefore they did not know anything but Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa. Whenever there is some trouble, 'Oh Kṛṣṇa'. When there is fire, 'Oh, Kṛṣṇa'. That is the beauty of Vṛndāvana. Their mind is absorbed in Kṛṣṇa. Not through philosophy. Not through understanding, but natural love. 'Kṛṣṇa is our our village boy, our relative, our friend, our lover, our master.' Some way or other, Kṛṣṇa."

"The whole Vedic instruction is just to deliver all suffering humanity from the threefold miseries of material existence. That is the aim and object of Vedic civilization. That means this human form of life is meant for finishing all kinds of troubles. That should be the effort of human being. Actually, they are doing so. Everyone is trying to minimize the miseries of life and get happiness of life. That is the impetus of all activities. But unfortunately, they do not know how to do it."

"Ārādhito yadi haris tapasā tataḥ kim (Nārada-pañcarātra). Govinda ādi-puruṣa is known as Hari. Hari means 'who takes away all your miseries'. That is Hari. Hara. Hara means taking away. Harate. So, just like thief also takes away, but he takes away the valuable things, material consideration, sometimes Kṛṣṇa also takes away your material valuables just to show you special favor. Yasyāham anugṛhṇāmi hariṣye tad-dhanaṁ śanaiḥ (SB 10.88.8)."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"There are many yogīs: karma-yogī, jñāna-yogī, dhyāna-yogī, hatha-yogī, bhakti-yogī. Yoga system is just like a staircase. Just like in New York, that Empire State Building, that 102-story building, so there is a staircase or a lift. So yoga system is just like a lift to go to the highest perfection of life. But there are different, I mean to say, flats. Just like karma-yoga. You can approach, you can make progress to the first or second floor. Similarly, by jñāna-yoga, you can make progress to the fiftieth floor. And similarly, by dhyāna-yoga, you can make progress up to the eightieth floor. But by bhakti-yoga, you can go to the highest platform. This is also very nicely explained in the Bhagavad-gītā, bhaktyā mām abhijānāti (BG 18.55). 'If you want to know Me cent percent, then come to this bhakti-yoga.' And this bhakti-yoga means this śravaṇam. The first thing is śravaṇam and kīrtanam. You simply chant and hear, simple process."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"In the Golden Age, when everyone was pious, at that time, meditation was recommendation. Meditation. Kṛte yad dhyāyato viṣṇum: meditation on Viṣṇu. Tretāyāṁ yajato makhaiḥ. In the next age, the recommendation was to perform great sacrifices. And the next age was recommended for temple worship, or church worship, or mosque worship. Kṛte yad dhyāyato viṣṇuṁ tretāyāṁ yajato makhaiḥ, dvāpare paricaryāyām. Dvapar... Next age, just the age about five thousand years ago, the age was called Dvāpara-yuga. At that time temple worship was very gorgeous and very successful. Now, in this age, Kali-yuga, which has begun about five thousand years past, in this age, it is recommended, kalau tad dhari-kīrtanāt: you can realize yourself simply by chanting this Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra. And if you take to this simple process, result will be that ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanam (CC Antya 20.12, Śikṣāṣṭaka 1). The rubbish thing which has gathered in your heart will be cleansed."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"We cannot say, just like, in some hotels, that 'Such and such persons are not admitted'. No. We cannot. We admit everyone. Our mission is to elevate persons from down state of life to the highest state of life. So everyone is in down state. Lord Jesus Christ also said that 'You do not hate the sinners, but hate sin'. Is not that, Lord Jesus Christ said? So hippies may be sinners. We raise them to the pious life. But we say, 'Don't do this. Don't do this sinful act. Don't take intoxication. Don't do this. Don't do this'. We hate sin, not the sinners actually. If we hate sinners, then where is the possibility of preaching?"

This Body is a Bag of Skin, Bone, Blood - 0061
06:59 minutes from a general lecture in Boston
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"Lord Kṛṣṇa says that in the material concept of life, or bodily concept of life, our senses are very prominent. That is going on at the present moment. Not at the present moment; since the creation of this material world. That is the disease, that 'I am this body'. Śrīmad-Bhāgavata says that yasyātma-buddhiḥ kuṇape tri-dhātuke sva-dhīḥ kalatrAdiṣu bhauma ijya-dhiḥ (SB 10.84.13), that anyone who has the concept of this bodily understanding, that 'I am this body' Ātma-buddhiḥ kuṇape tri-dhātu. Ātma-buddhiḥ means concept of self in this bag of skin and bone. This is a bag. This body is a bag of skin, bone, blood, urine, stool, and so many nice things. You see? But we are thinking that 'I am this bag of bone and skin and stool and urine. That is our beauty. That is our everything'."
