"So at the present moment we are forgetful of our eternal relationship with Kṛṣṇa. Then, by good association, by constant chanting, hearing, remembering, we again revoke our old consciousness. That is called Kṛṣṇa consciousness. So forgetfulness is not wonderful. It is natural, we forget. But if we keep constant touch, we may not forget. Therefore this association of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, devotees, and constant repetition of the chanting, scripture, that will keep us intact, without forgetting." |

"There are mainly three energies of Kṛṣṇa: the material energy, the spiritual energy and the marginal energy. The marginal energy, we are. We are called marginal because we have to live under the energy, another superior energy. Just like if you work in the office, you have to work under the superintendent, not independently. Similarly, our marginal position is that we can live under the guidance of the material energy or we can live under the guidance of the spiritual energy. To live under the guidance of spiritual energy is our actual life. And to live under the guidance of material nature, that is called māyā, false. Therefore we are marginal; we can make our choice." |

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada |
"Pure consciousness is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Pure consciousness means to understand that 'I am very much intimately connected with Kṛṣṇa as part and parcel'. Just like my finger is very intimately connected with my body. Intimate... If there is little pain in the finger, I become so much disturbed because I have got intimate connection with this finger. Similarly, we have got intimate connection with Kṛṣṇa, and we are fallen. Therefore Kṛṣṇa also feels little pain, and therefore He comes down:
Kṛṣṇa is feeling pain. So you become Kṛṣṇa conscious, then Kṛṣṇa will feel pleasure. That is Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement." |
