Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"That is also Vedic conception, that sex between man and woman is not the cause of life. Unless the living soul comes in the proper situation, the man's secretion, woman's secretion combined together emulsifies, and it creates a proper situation for the rest of the soul. So contraceptive method means that emulsification is disturbed. It does not create the proper situation; therefore pregnancy does not happen. Or imperfect discharge. The main point is that the two discharges, they create a situation wherein the living entity comes and rests. Then it grows. Not that, that is the cause of life. The mixture of two secretions is not the cause of life. That creates a proper situation, and the life comes. And if the situation is not favorable, the soul cannot stay. It has to go to somewhere else. So by the order of Kṛṣṇa, he was to come to take shelter there, but this man and woman checked it. Therefore it is sinful; needs to be punished."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"So this is intelligence, how to become servant of Kṛṣṇa. That is the perfection of life. That means mukti. Mukti does not mean you'll get four hands and eight heads. No. (laughter) Mukti means, as it is defined in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, muktir hitvānyathā rūpaṁ sva-rūpeṇa vyavasthitiḥ (SB 2.10.6). That is mukti. Sva-rūpeṇa. Legally, constitutionally, I am servant of God, or Kṛṣṇa. Now I have become servant of dog and māyā. So if I give up this service and again become servant of God, that is mukti. That is mukti. Muktir hitvānyathā rūpam. We are trying to become... Here māyā means 'which is not'. Mā-yā. We are, every one of us, we are thinking, 'I am master'. 'I am the monarch of all I survey,' there is a poetry in English. Everyone is thinking, 'I make my plan, I make my survey, and I become king'. But that is māyā. You cannot become. You are already servant of māyā."

Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
Prabhupāda: If you are actually scientist, then you prove that there is God. That is your success of education. Idaṁ hi puṁsas tapasaḥ śrutasya vā sūktasya sviṣṭasya ca buddhi-dattayoḥ avicyuto 'rthaḥ kavi... (SB 1.5.22). Your education has meaning when, by your education, by your scientific knowledge, you'll prove that there is God, He is so glorified. Then you are welcome. Then you are really scientist. And if you become a rascal, then you say, 'Oh, there is no need of God. We are going to manufacture. Just wait for one million years, then...' Is this good proposal, I have to wait for one million years to see your scientific research work? And we shall allow such fools to flourish? That is not possible.

Rūpānuga: It will be a very great service to the people in general if we can stop that.

Prabhupāda: Warn that 'Here are thieves. Be careful of your pocket. They'll say all bluff and take money from your pocket'.

Interview A - New York
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
Interviewer: People are interested in development of a man like you because they relate. And that way they decide to read what you write.
Prabhupāda: First thing is that if you are interested in our book, so you read our books; you'll understand.
Interviewer: Understand you?
Prabhupāda: Yes.
Interviewer: Is that what you're saying?
Prabhupāda: Yes.
Interviewer: Is that what he's saying?
Prabhupāda: A man is known when he speaks. When he speaks. Tāvac ca śobhate mūrkho yāvat kiñcin na bhāṣate: 'A fool is so long beautiful as long as he does not speak'. (laughter) When he speaks, then you can understand what he is. So my speaking are there in the books, and if you are intelligent, you can understand. You haven't got to ask. Speaking... Just like in a court. A big lawyer is known when he speaks. Otherwise everyone is a good lawyer. But when he speaks in the court, then he is known whether he is good lawyer or not. So you have to hear. You have to read. Then you'll understand. Real understanding is there.
