Self-realized Souls - an essential subject

Self-realization seem to be deep and heavy words from the outset, and essentially, they do mean a lot. The Vedic scriptures state that self-realization means to understand that one is not this temporary body, but is the soul within. However, in order to understand this, one must take the shelter of a bona fide spiritual master (in the disciplic succession established by Lord Krishna), and inquire submissively from him about all the spiritual topics leading to self-realization.

Srila Prabhupada's books, lectures, conversations and letters offer a comprehensive presentation of this essential subject as seen in the Vaniquotes Self-realized Souls category. An introduction from his books is given below in the following 8 quotes.
