Gauḍa-deśa is called Bengal, so the Vaiṣṇavas belonging to Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's cult are called Gauḍīya-Vaiṣṇavas; Bengali Vaiṣṇavas. Devotees who follow the Krishna Conscious movement established by Lord Caitanya must adhere to the scriptures and the injunctions of that disciplic line in order to be called a Gaudiya Vaishnava. This sampradaya is so perfect and pure because it comes directly from Lord Krishna, and one who performs loving devotional service in this line is surely guaranteed a place in Godhead.
