Trust is often defined as a firm belief in something or someone. In an increasingly interconnected world, we find it quite imperative to place our trust on at least a few people to be able to get through our lives. In spiritual matters, it is necessary for us to place our trust on God and his pure devotees so that we can follow their instructions, which will ultimately lead to self-realization. Our scriptures state clearly as to where and on whom we must place our trust so that we do not get cheated, and especially so that our spiritual progress does not deteriorate and enter into a downwards spiral dip.
