Originally yoga means "to link with God" "to connect with God." Bhakti-yoga, the yoga of love and devotion, means to re-establish our connection with God through spontanious love and devotion.

On the platform of spontaneous love one is not affected by the modes of nature, his feelings and activities are fully directed to satisfy and please the object of that love, without any hindrance or deviation to any other motives. Pure selfless and spontaneous love of God satisfies the soul in a way that no other expression of love can do.

Srila Prabhupada's books, lectures, conversations and letters offer a comprehensive presentation of this essential subject as seen in the Vaniquotes Spontaneous Love category. An introduction from his books is given below in the following 10 quotes.
