Simplicity is the ornament of the devotee. A devotee is very simple, because he is interested only in the Lord. The Lord Himself is the simplest Person while dealing with His surrendered devotees, and therefore the devotees find the greatest of pleasures in simple loving exchanges with Him. Simplicity can be defined in many varied ways. In the pastime of Gopala Chapal, Srila Prabhuapada explains that Gopala Chapal was simple because he believed what he was told (that Lord Chaitanya is the Supreme Lord), and therefore he was saved (from a very miserable situation). Krishna consciousness, or devotional service, is simple for the simple minded.

Srila Prabhupada's books, lectures, conversations and letters offer a comprehensive presentation of this essential subject as seen in the Vaniquotes Simplicity‏‎ category. An introduction from his books is given below in the following NUMBER quotes.
