Emotions form an integral part of human beings; they are avenues through which one can express himself, particularly his feelings. Sometimes, being emotional may not necessarily work in one's favour, and making decisions based purely on emotions is often considered a sign of weakness. In terms of Krishna Consciousness however, Vedic literature states that being emotionally receptive works well in one's favour as one is supposed to have a soft heart to be able to experience and spread the love of God.

Srila Prabhupada's books, lectures, conversations and letters offer a comprehensive presentation of this essential subject as seen in the Vaniquotes Emotions category. An introduction from his books is given below in the following 8 quotes.
