War is a state of conflict between societies or factions, generally characterized by extreme aggression, destruction, and mortality. With it, comes great disaster and suffering as a result. Yet war is not always bad if is justifiable by sanction of the Lord. The great war of Kurukshetra for example, concluded with millions dead on both sides and respective families were left in mourning. But it was for the good of the world to annihilate the sinful Kauravas and people of their mentality. Lord Kṛṣṇa himself descended from Vaikuṇṭha to deal with such miscreants and aid his devotees the Pāṇḍavas.

Srila Prabhupada's books, lectures, conversations and letters offer a comprehensive presentation of this essential subject as seen in the Vaniquotes War category. An introduction from his books is given below in the following NUMBER quotes.
