Bhagavad-gītā is the essence of all Vedic knowledge, a self-illuminating scripture, whose instructions should be accepted. Simply if one tries to understand each word, then one will get enlightenment. Bhagavad-gītā is the only source of scientific knowledge of God and our relationship with God. It expounds the science of devotional service. In this finest summary of all the teachings in the Vedas (the books of knowledge), Śrī Kṛṣṇa personally advises that one give up all other duties and surrender unto Him.
