But by nature we are blissful. In his Brahma-sūtra, in the Vedānta-sūtra, it is stated, ānandamayo abhyāsāt. Every living entity, Brahman. Living entities, they are Brahman, and Kṛṣṇa is also Para-brahman. So Brahman and Para-brahman, both of them are by nature joyful. They want joy, enjoyment. So our joyfulness is in connection with Kṛṣṇa, just like fire and the sparks of fire. The sparks of fire, so long manifested with the fire, it is beautiful. And as soon as the sparks of fire falls down from the original fire, oh, it is extinguished, no more beautiful."|Vanisource:670108 - Lecture CC Madhya 22.06-10 - New York|670108 - Lecture CC Madhya 22.06-10 - New York}}

Because we represent Krsna, we are in this brahmanda conditioned|Kṛṣṇa is both in the spiritual world and the material world. Because we represent Kṛṣṇa, we are in this brahmāṇḍa conditioned. But there are many living entities who are eternally liberated. They never come to this. How it is, that? Just like the ocean and the rivers. In river, in the river, you will find fishes, and in the ocean you will find fishes. Sometimes it may be that the fishes of the river may go to the ocean, but the fishes of the ocean never comes to the river. Never comes to the river. There is no place for them.}}

1967 - January 08

Lecture CC Madhya 22.06 - New York
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"Without Kṛṣṇa knowledge we cannot be blissful. But by nature we are blissful. In his Brahma-sūtra, in the Vedānta-sūtra, it is stated, ānandamayo abhyāsāt. Every living entity, Brahman. Living entities, they are Brahman, and Kṛṣṇa is also Para-brahman. So Brahman and Para-brahman, both of them are by nature joyful. They want joy, enjoyment. So our joyfulness is in connection with Kṛṣṇa, just like fire and the sparks of fire. The sparks of fire, so long manifested with the fire, it is beautiful. And as soon as the sparks of fire falls down from the original fire, oh, it is extinguished, no more beautiful."

1968 - January 08

Lecture CC Madhya 06.254 - Los Angeles
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"'Kṛṣṇa' means God. If you have got any other name for God, you can chant that also. It is not that you have to chant 'Kṛṣṇa'. But 'Kṛṣṇa' means God. The word meaning of Kṛṣṇa means 'all-attractive'. Kṛṣṇa, from His beauty, all-attractive. From His strength, He's all-attractive. From His philosophy, He's all-attractive. From His renunciation, He's all-attractive. From His fame, He's all-attractive. Five thousand years before, Kṛṣṇa spoke this Bhagavad-gītā; still going strong. He is so famous."

1969 - January 08

Lecture BG 04.11-18 - Los Angeles
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"So Bhāgavata says that either you are a person desiring unlimitedly or you have become free from all desires, or you are desiring liberation from this material conditional life, you please try to become Kṛṣṇa conscious. Your desires, whatever desires you may have, that will be fulfilled. That will be fulfilled. So this is referred. Akāmaḥ sarva-kāmo vā. So whatever desires you may have, if you become Kṛṣṇa conscious then your that desire will be fulfilled."
690108 - Lecture BG 04.11-18 - Los Angeles
Lecture Purport to the Mangalacarana Prayers - Los Angeles
Nectar Drops from Srila Prabhupada
"Vande 'ham means 'I am offering my respectful obeisances'. Vande. V-a-n-d-e. Vande means 'offering my respectful obeisances'. Aham. Aham means 'I'. Vande 'ham śrī-gurūn: all the gurus, or spiritual masters. The offering of respect direct to the spiritual master means offering respects to all the previous ācāryas. Gurūn means plural number. All the ācāryas. They are not different from one another. Because they are coming in the disciplic succession from the original spiritual master and they have no different views, therefore, although they are many, they are one. Vande 'ham śrī-gurūn śrī-yuta-pada-kamalam. Śrī-yuta means 'with all glories, with all opulence'. Pada-kamala: 'lotus feet'. Offering of respect to the superior begins from the feet, and blessing begins from the head. That is the system. The disciple offers his respect by touching the lotus feet of the spiritual master, and the spiritual master blesses the disciple by touching his head."

"So we are not aware what is the aim of life. So Kṛṣṇa is very kind. He therefore comes. He came just before the beginning of this Kali-yuga, the most fallen age, and left for us the Bhagavad-gītā. And then, after Him, after His departure... It is said in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, "After departure of Kṛṣṇa from this planet to His own abode, the principle of religion and knowledge, where it is kept?" The answer is, 'It is kept in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam'."
